General Tour Map

1st day

Day 1 || Aspraggeloi - Elati - Dikorfo - Manassis - Kaloutas - Dipotamo - Fragkades

You will be met at the village of Asprangeli, 28 km from Ioannina and the first village of Zagori on the road from Ioannina. With your bags safely loaded onto our backup vehicle, you will be able to try out the E-bikes, assisted by your guides, before setting off on an 11 km ride to the first stop, the village of Dikorfo. The route takes us through the village of Elati, before continuing for the remaining 10 km through beautiful countryside. Dikorfo is a stunning and relatively unknown village, which was once a stopping point for merchants on their way to Ioannina or the Balkans. We will enjoy a coffee in the quiet, beautiful village square, in the shade its plane tree. We then continue on through the villages of Manassis and Kaloutas, before reaching Dipotamo after 12 km. There we will find a table laid with delicious local food, overlooking a view of mountains and forests. After this restful break we continue for the final 12 km to our destination of Frangades, where we will spend the night. Having arrived in the afternoon and settled into your rooms, you will have dinner in the restaurant of the guesthouse, enjoying home-cooked food and traditional local tsipouro.

2nd day

Day 2 || Fragkades - Negades - Kipoi - Dilofo - Aspraggeloi

After breakfast at the guesthouse, you will leave your bags in your rooms, to be collected by your hosts, and set out on the next trip. Our first stop is the village of Negades, around 13 km away – 10 km of which are on an easy dirt road winding through the forest. It is a beautiful ride, finishing at the majestic bell tower of one of Epirus’ most important churches – St. George’s in Negades. We will have a break and a coffee in the village square. Then we will set out for the village of Dilofo, an easy 14 km ride, stopping briefly for a swim in a hidden paradise with a rock pool. We pass through the village of Kipi with its stone bridges and stunning rock-formations, stopping at the ‘Lazaridis’ bridge, the three-arched ‘Kalogeriko’ bridge and the ‘Kokoris’ bridge – perhaps the region’s most famous bridge, and a perfect photo opportunity. We reach Dilofo – one of the best-preserved and most beautiful of the villages of Central Zagori – for lunch in the village taverna. After some time to rest, we get back on the bikes for the final 6.5 km of our short, but unforgettable, experience
