1st day

Day 1 || Aristi

The first day finds us in Western Zagori, at an altitude of 650m, in the village of Aristi. This large village is perched on a lush mountainside and has paved streets with craft shops and an impressive church with a tall bell-tower. The beating heart of Aristi is its central square with a plane tree and beautiful view towards mountain peaks. After settling into your rooms, we will have dinner at a taverna in this square, tasting the famous Zagorian pies and the region’s local spirit, tsipouro.

2nd day

Day 2 || Aristi - Papigo - Rock pools

After a hearty, homemade breakfast, your guide will assist you with the E-bikes in preparation for the first ride to the village of Papigo. It is a challenging ride for cyclists but becomes easy and enjoyable on the E-bikes! It begins with 4 km downhill, before crossing the Aristi bridge beside the crystal-clear, blue waters of the Voidomatis river, then continuing for 6 km uphill to Papigo, always with a view of the majestic ‘Astraka’ limestone towers. We will stop in Papigo for a tour of the village and a visit to its natural rock pools, and a dip in their refreshing water. Before beginning our ride back we will visit the ‘Zenobia’ farm for a tour of the goat sheds, beehives and the beautiful garden, for a taste of the daily agricultural life of the locals. We then go over the Aristi bridge again, stopping by the river for a coffee and a break. Arriving back at the guesthouse, we will later enjoy a dinner of traditional food in one of the village tavernas.

3nd day

Day 3 || Aristi - Vikos - Voidomatis Springs

After a traditional breakfast, we get on the E-bikes and head for the nearby village of Vikos. We leave the bikes after just 5 km and continue for 200m on foot to the ‘Rachi’ lookout point, to admire the stunning view of the Vikos Gorge and the springs of the Voidomatis river. Then we begin our hike down to the springs themselves, which takes about 30 minutes. At the bottom we will have a picnic of local products and a glass of homemade tsipouro or wine. Those who wish will be able to cool off in the clear blue waters of the river. After a restful break, we will return to the village and guesthouse. We will have a stroll through Aristi and in the evening enjoy dinner in a local taverna.
