General Tour Map

1st day

On the 1st day we move from central Zagori to West Zagori, i.e. to Aristi and Papigo villages. Our meeting point will be at Ano Pedina village and after checking our e- bikes, we depart for our final destination, Papigo village and the ovireas natural pools. We cross the Pedina plain and follow and uphill route of about 3 km to the village of Aristi. We cross the village and go downhill for another 4 km until we have the first stop at the Aristi bridge. Next to the turquoise waters of the Voidomatis river we will have coffee or tea and have something to eat from a variety of snacks. After resting, we continue for yet another 6 uphill kilometers with the view of the Astraka towers joining us until we reach Papigo village. In the village and the natural pools, we have our longest stop. During the summer months, we will be able to swim in the waters of these natural pools. Then, after leaving Papigo, we will visit Zenovia's farm with goats, bees and the beautiful garden, taking a taste of the local rural life. Then we will return to Ano Pedina village. Going over the Aristi bridge once more, we will follow an 8-km uphill route with on our e-bikes to Pedina plain and village. Once we reach the guesthouse and relax, we will enjoy traditional dishes at a local tavern.

2nd day

On the second day of our tour, we visit the villages of central Zagori. After breakfast at the guesthouse, we depart from Ano Pedina and cycle for about 11km to Dilofo, one of the most picturesque villages of Zagori. There, we take a short stroll through the narrow cobbled streets of the village and continue until our next stop, the famous bridge of Noutsos, about 5 km after Dilofo. A few kilometers below, we reach Koukouli village. There, we visit the traditional Lazaridis residence, a teacher from Zagori, which now operates as a museum. We will be able to see his collection of over 1250 species of medicinal herbs and herbs of the area, which were once used by the famous "Vikogiatroi" (local healers) of Zagori for pharmaceutical purposes. Then we cycle for another 4 km to the village of Kipoi. Once we arrive at the village, we will visit the third bridge of Plakida (or Kalogeriko) and the bridge of Kontodimos (or Lazaridis) and we will end the tour with a fine meal at a restaurant in Kipoi village.
